Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts = Not mine. This fic = Mine. I also own the random people who wind up dying in this story. And Emma, the nice lady who actually lives through this fic.
Warnings: Death...and creepy-child!Kairi.
A/N: Yes. I like creepy children. I really do. So, here's a Kairi fic about Kairi being just that, a very powerful and destructive, yet mind-meltingly innocent, little girl. ^_^ Have fun, and please do not flame me. Lesson learned: Elfen Lied is not exactly the best thing to watch when your mind works like mine. Oh yes, human experimentation is a really weird topic that seems to keep coming up in my stories. x_x
File 70678727-G: Kairi ***** Incident Code: 601 Harmony House Shelter
"No...please don't...It hurts..."
Harmony House was a refuge for children who were left behind, or had gone astray. Harmony House sat on a hill on Isle Elysium, on the Destiny Islands. Harmony House lived up to its name, giving children a place to stay before moving on to new homes and new lives. No one knew what was really going on in Harmony House.
Unfortunately, for the newest resident, the one who fell from the sky, things weren't going quite so well.
"Kairi," the tall, lanky, balding man said, "This is simply a test so that--"
Kairi said, "I won't do it! No, no, no, no, NO!" An understandable response from someone strapped to a chair, with several tubes running from different parts of her body to a machine that filled most of the space in that large, white room, the room that was always closed, but people came in and out of it, sometimes with various boxes, and occasionally, a child would be taken to this room, only to come back an hour later.
"You..." the man said, "You're our most difficult little one we've had so far...Never worry..." he motioned to his assistant to activate the machine. The assistant, who sat at the computer, smiled a bit and nodded back.
Kairi said, "But, but--"
The assistant pressed a few buttons, and the machine slowly came to life, while the assistant sat there, typing away, wearing the same vacant expression she had when she escorted Kairi to this place.
"This one..." the man said, "Maybe she is the one..."
The assistant smiled, for once, and the man said, "...Music to your ears, yes?"
As Kairi screamed, the man scribbled something down in a notebook and said, "Plug these values in, will you?"
------------
"What happened here?"
Kairi smiled as she looked around at the bloodied scene. She looked up at the woman and said, "Please use your inside voice. They're sleeping."
The woman knelt down so that she could see eye-to-eye with the small girl, now covered in blood, and said, "I'm a friend. Your name is Kairi, right?"
Kairi nodded.
"Good," the woman said, "My name is Emma. Tell me, what happened here?"
Kairi said nothing, but Emma looked into her eyes and saw everything.
"Oh...my..." Emma muttered, "This....all of this was your doing, wasn't it?"
Kairi said, "I don't know..."
---------------
(Three hours ago)
"Doctor Licht! She's attacking! She's--GACK!"
And all Kairi did was raise her hands, trying to reach for something, and several shadowy hands reached out and started tearing people apart, while Kairi repeated, "Hello....goodbye....I love you....I hate you...this is justice...this is grace...This is salvation...this is destruction..."
Playmates, caretakers, laboratory assistants--Kairi didn't differentiate. They all needed to die. She was saving her friends, while punishing the adults for not doing anything to save her, or any of the children subjected to the numerous painful "tests" designed by that man in the white coat.
"Hello....goodbye..." Kairi said, her eyes meeting those of the man's favorite assistant, "I love you..."
The hands reached for the petite green-haired woman.
"...I hate you..."
The woman said, "Kairi, don't--"
Those were her last words.
"....This is justice..."
Kairi smiled as the shadows went around, killing anyone and everyone, as she repeated her mantra, "...This is mercy...this is salvation...."
Doctor Licht ran into the room, saying, "Kairi! You stop that at once!"
"Kairi, you stop that at once," Kairi repeated.
The shadows dissipated, and Kairi and Doctor Licht stood there, looking at each other, with twenty-four dead bodies between them.
