Fanfic -- Ring -- PG
Title: Ring Author: Rubyfruit Pixie Fandom: Kingdom Hearts Rating: PG-13 Warnings: Profanity, hints of Demyx/Zexion, Selphie/Kairi and Selphie/Demyx. And some parts that look like incest. Characters: Selphie, Demyx, mentions of Kairi and Zexion Summary: Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts. Big companies that aren't me do own the characters. I do, however, lay claim to this story. A/N: I shamelessly borrowed the format of this fic from Jana's Contrawise. Of course, she said it was okay!
{The sound of steel on wood.}
Selphie grinned. It was something she lived for. Better than any drink, any pill, any magical powder. Yet, as she fought the boy--her opponent was slightly more than that--she couldn't shake the fact that she'd seen this person before. When and where, she didn't know. Were they friends in a past life? Lovers in another one of these past lives? Selphie didn't care about then, but Now and Kairi and saving the universe--the Multiverse--her Multiverse.
One swing of one of her mallets was all it took.
"To the boy who reminds me of someone I knew before..."
{The sound of wood cracking.}
Demyx tried so hard. This time, he was going to prove himself to the Organization--or what was left of it--and to one person in particular. It was supposed to be easy. Selphie was, after all, a little girl.
What he hadn't counted on was how damned stubborn she'd be. Nor did he know how strong she was. ...Did he? He'd seen those eyes before--in a dream?
"To the girl I want to remember..."
{The sound of goodbye.}
It took all Selphie had not to finish the blond boy who was now a frantic wreck of a person. It was a new experience. She'd seen people laugh maniacally, she'd seen people cry. Selphie had even seen a person or two wet their pants in fear of the thought of dying.
Never had she seen a reaction like Demyx's.
"I didn't kill you. Be grateful."
{The sound of I'm Sorry.}
Demyx still knelt on the ground there, picking up the pieces of his now-broken sitar. He would have to fix it again for the third time this month. He thought about the brown-haired girl with eyes as green as his. It would bother him for a long time after that fateful battle.
